Good Morning Everyone,
Thank you for your continued prayers over these last two days. We appreciate all of them so much. We met with the neurology team yesterday and discovered a few things. Courtney has lost ten pounds, her thyroid is possibly enlarged and she has been dealing with low blood sugar. So, she may be hypoglycemic, or may be facing pancreatitis, or hypo-thyroid or something we just don't see yet. More tests are needed. So, we put into play some stop-gap measures to cover if she is hypoglycemic by changing her diet and feeding schedule.
Next step is to see the gastroenterology team as soon as we can, which could take up to 2 to 3 weeks. As Jerry said yesterday, "Courtney is like a finely tuned Italian sports car. One thing gets out of whack and the whole thing falls apart." So, your next prayer assignment is to help us get into the GI guys ASAP. Also, to continue praying that she not seize at school. Miraculous healing would be wonderful as well.
My school has agreed to work with me for now, if I have to leave to get Courtney because of a seizure. So I will remain employed for the time being. Praise God for that!
As always, Courtney and our family rest in Our Lords loving care. We know that He is in control, and whatever happens, He is walking with us on one side and Our Blessed Mother on the other. Court is our miracle and everyday, we are privileged to witness His love unfold through her. We are also incredibly blessed to have the prayerful support of so many of you. Thank you so much and May God continue to Bless each of you and your families.
When we know more, we will let you know. For now, continue to pray.....
Mary and Jerry
