I just received a HUGE envelope in the mail from Brad at Cardinal Bank. It was filled with notes and cards that were sent to the bank with donations. I was speechless and tears were rolling down my face as I read each and every one of them. My heart overflows with gratitude to Our Lord for every one of you who took the time and made a sacrifice for our family. So many of you gave in honor of loved ones who have gone to Our Lords loving arms, for children or grandchildren who are disabled, and so many prayers being said for our Courtney.
Jerry and I feel so unworthy it all. This started as an appeal not to lose our home and as just gone so much further than we could have ever imagined. Not only is ALL the debt gone, but we have a trust soon to be in place for Courtney that should cover some of her future medical and daily care expenses. It feels as if overnight our whole life changed. The worry and stress of trying to figure out how we were going to keep the house and be able to help Courtney stay well is gone. I really don't have the words to express how that feels.
Courtney continues to fight the seizures, BUT their frequency has slowed dramatically in the last few weeks. We are down to one a day at the moment and on a rare day none! She has also finally beginning to gain a little weight. Praise God!! This is a very difficult thing to do but so necessary for her overall health. There is ONLY ONE explanation. Your prayers! So please keep them coming. They are being felt each and every day.
The Cardinal Bank account and the PayPal account will remain open to accept future gifts for Courtney's trust. Now our family will turn to saving so in time we can make the handicapped improvements to our home that are needed for Courtney's well-being and daily care. As always we take things one day at a time in the Lenaburg home. So we pray that you will always feel Our Lords loving arms around you and that you will never feel alone on this journey. We know that He has been with us each and every step of the way and we are thankful for His guidance and unconditional love.
Blessings to You,
MaryLabels: Courtney's World
