Fit for Eternal Life

"I have struggled for many years to maintain a consistent fitness plan. My life is stressful and centered on caring for my severely disabled daughter, which does not leave a lot of time for the gym. To make matters worse, I tend to be an emotional eater, which wreaks havoc with my diet and leaves me overweight and too tired to come up with a plan on my own. Recently, I decided it was time to take some action. What to do? Join a gym? Take a class?

During a trip to my local Catholic bookstore, I came across my answer. Enter psychologist and former body builder Dr. Kevin Vost and his book Fit for Eternal Life: A Christian Approach to Working Out, Eating Right, and Building the Virtues of Fitness in Your Soul. His unique approach for combining fitness and the spiritual life was just what the Holy Spirit ordered. My temple was crumbling and Dr. Kevin Vost provided the inspiration to begin the renovation."
