The sun is shining and the fall breeze blowing. We went to Mass this morning as a family, which was so nice. It made taking pictures outside a smidge challenging, but it was still nice.
Miss Courtney was wearing a new coat that was sent to her as a gift. I think it came from New York and Company. It's lightweight, so I will probably use it like a blazer through the fall and winter. It's a beautiful royal purple graphic print with leather detailing on the collar and sleeves. I really like it. It goes with so much.
She really is having a great day, but the breeze took her by surprise, hence the furrowed brow. I paired her coat with a ribbed knit grey skirt, grey turtleneck sweater and thick cotton tights and capped it off with her black suede boots.
I feel like I have been sick for weeks and weeks, wearing only sweats, pj's or yoga pants. So it felt very strange to put on pantyhose and heels and jewelry and make-up. Strange but lovely at the same time.
You have seen the skirt before. The sweater and sleeveless top come from the early fall line at Talbots. You gotta love a company that gives you 15% off for your birthday that they allow you to use on top of other discounts. So I did. I got both pieces for 45% off which was just about what I had left on a gift card from my Mama. Yay!! I know I will get a lot of use out of both pieces.
The shoes come from Jones of New York that I got in August at Dress Barn for super cheap, like $22 or something insane like that. The necklace and bracelet come from Charming Charlie's and Lane Bryant respectively. The earring were a birthday gift and they are from JCrew. LOVE them!!While Miss Courtney went dark, Mama went bright. Maybe I will switch it up next week and land on the dark side. We shall see.
So there you go. We are back in the land of the living and so very happy to be there. I pray that you and those you love are well and enjoying the beauty of this day.
Blessings,
Mary and Miss Court
