pretty, happy, funny, real ~ 2014, vol.9

Happy Easter!!

I know I have said before but we are still in the Easter Octave so I will say it again and again.

{pretty}

If you have been checking in here these last few days you know we have been in a battle with insurance over Courtney's AFO's and her ONFI seizure meds. Well my friends, both have been resolved in our favor. They will be covered completely

Yep, you read that correctly.

After three appeals, piles of paperwork, consult with an attorney, and countless prayers and more than a little pacing back and forth from this Mama, God has chosen to make this happen. She was casted for her AFO's on Monday and we picked up her seizure meds late last night.

I have spent the last twelve hours buckling between crying and praising, cleaning and working out. All four are my stress reducers and I couldn't make up my mind. We feel extremely fortunate to be able to make this happen for Courtney. Now we will begin praying for the process to attain a new wheelchair and other adaptive equipment. We will start that on May 9. Feel free to lift us in prayer for that process. It's going to be a doozy for sure.

Well I almost did it. I almost had the Pascha Cloth ready for Holy Saturday and the blessing of the baskets but alas, I did not finish in time. I am still working on this little gem.

I have decided it will be a gift for my BFF Christine who is of Croatian heritage and participates in the blessing every year. I know she will love it once I finish and add the lace border.

Then I will start on another one for me. Maybe with a lamb on it.

I love vintage prints, especially from the '30's, '40's and 50's. This little gem comes from the 1930's. So cute and just a little bit funny.

We brought home and Easter Candle from church on Sunday. I love having it here in the house. We will light a new candle from this one tomorrow so that we can keep the light of Easter present for a little while longer.
