virus interruptus...

good morning...or should I say goodnight...or good afternoon...or...or...or...hell I have no idea what time it is...so sorry for the quiet weekend here in this space...after a beautiful day out spent with friends visiting from Michigan I came home to a very different date night with my beloved than I had planned...Miss Courtney was taken down by a lovely little 36 hour bout of an intestinal virus that has included one wicked fever and many, many, many changes of adult diaper ickyness...you do NOT want to know What I Wore Sunday...truly...you do not...given our recent bouts with intestinal difficulties I can honestly say without reservation that I am so very tired of this sh**...so very tired...we have burned through the last of the winter Peppermint Bark candles and have moved onto to the "This house smells like a beach" candles...the beach sounds like a beautiful place right now...lapping waves...fresh air...drinks with little umbrellas in them...a maid to come make your bed...sigh...double sigh...I know I shouldn't complain...we stayed out of the hospital this round...Gold Star for Mama and Daddy...she has remained plenty hydrated...PLENTY hydrated...and we have made her as comfortable as possible given the circumstances...we did run out of coffee beans yesterday which lead to Big Brother making an emergency beanjuice run to save the day...not to worry...he came home with five pounds of beans...he was afraid I was losing my mind and wanted to ensure the safety of the family in the coming days...that boy knows his Mama...I done raised him right...Courtney is sound asleep right now and I so wish I was right along with her...but...there are sheets to wash...rooms to disinfect and a very tired body to feed and exercise...(that would be mine not hers)...this mama/caregiving/loving her with all my heart thing is really tough these days...last night she gave me a smile...I felt I won the lottery...such a sweet precious gift she is to me...I hate to see her in any kind of pain or discomfort...Daddy has been amazing and Big Brother too...I pray this day brings more smiles and less icky...much less icky...just keeping it real here at Chez Lenaburg...where poop is our game...oh yeah baby...I have a PhD in Feces...awesome...
