what I wore sunday ~ vol. 51...

What a week we have had. Thursday Miss Court was admitted to the hospital for a lovely case of aspiration pneumonia. Late Friday evening after four rounds of IV antibiotics and two nebulizer treatments, they Docs felt that it was OK for us to come home and continue her treatment here. She has been smiling ever since.

So has her Mama.

Courtney is on a heavy dose of antibiotics as well as using a nebulizer once a day for the next five days. We can't have visitors for two more days to make sure she is not further compromised. By Wednesday if all continues to go well, we will jump back into our regular schedule.

Her appetite is slowly returning and her energy level ebbs and flows as to be expected. As always we take things one day at a time.

This morning Jerry and I split for mass so one of us could be home with Courtney. I got only a few photos with her this morning and she was not in the mood to open her eyes. Yes, she is still as stubborn as the day is long, pneumonia or no pneumonia.

Today I went with the first sweater and skirt I laid my hands on. No fuss, no muss. Grabbed some cute Kelly and Kate sandals, added a necklace and we were off. The skirt is a pale pink pencil skirt from Talbots. The necklace and earrings are Talbots as well. The cardi is from Lands End. Everything was either a gift or purchased on sale.

Thanks to ALL of you for your prayers and words of encouragement over the last few days. You will never know how uplifting they were during this latest bump in the road with Courtney.

Truly, we are blessed to be loved by so many wonderful people, wether we have met in real life or not.

Know that you are prayed for every single day,
