small successes (vol.50)...

FaithButton
"It’s important for moms to recognize that all the small successes in our days can add up to one big triumph. So on Thursday of each week, we do exactly that."

1.
I cheered from the sidelines this week. This whole college mom thing makes me feel a bit bipolar sometimes. The highs and lows are insane! I find myself on my knees with great regularity. That's a good thing.

2.
Since I promised myself and my hubby I would use whatever food stores were on hand before making another big shop, I have embraced chicken with a passion this week in the kitchen. When I was making the weekly menu I discovered that we had an entire shelf of chicken in the deep freeze.
I would love to know your favorite chicken recipe.
Inspire me!

3.
I have done 45 min of cardio every day.
Did you read that?
EVERY DAY!
I think we have discussed many times my dislike of sweating, especially in public!
Is that applause I hear??
Oh yeah baby...sweat is beautiful.
Well not so much but the sweet little dress I have my eye sure is lovely and I WILL be in it one day.

Blessings and Grace.
Mary

Congrats on the Cardio! I agree sweating stinks but in the end it is worth it!

ok - I know you are a fancy cook, but if you need an easy recipe one night for your chicken...just mix 1 can whole cranberrries, 1 pack lipton onion soup mix and 1 cup of western dressing. Put this on top of chicken and cook... serve with rice and fresh green beens (the sauce is sooo good on the beans and rice too).

You'd have to modify it and I haven't personally tried it, but this recipe looks fantastic:

What a great list! Isn't it amazing how things get lost in the freezer? I try to "eat us out of house and home" once a season - using up our freezer stores, random pantry items, and an occasional cake mix. God Bless!

Yes, that is applause you hear! Way to keep it up!

As far as chicken, we aren't real fancy around here. But our favorite is putting chicken breasts to cook on the stove, adding chicken broth and any seasonings. Turns out moist and yummy.

Have fun experimenting.

Chicken...did someone say chicken!!!...which is actually great for the diet plan with all that cardio you have and will be doing!!! And, as for #3 -- it's great to be regular! LOL

Love you,

Kathy

Fabulous work, Mary. I don't know which is tougher--exercising every day or praying our kids through college!
