I am a bit sleep deprived this evening as I put this post together. Miss Courtney and I have been battling the dreaded summer cold the last three days and while I am finally feeling like a human being, Miss Courtney was a bit slower to recover. By this afternoon I finally got her to smile. Thank goodness! Daddy is traveling this week and the LAST thing this Mama needs is a sick one to handle all by my lonesome.
Since it was pouring down rain this morning, we felt it best that Miss Courtney stay home from Mass since she was still sneezing. So Jerry went to 7:30 a.m. and I went to the 11 a.m. since I had to serve as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.
I will admit I was very excited about my outfit. I spent a total of $53 on the entire thing including shoes! The tops and cropped pants come from DressBarn and the shoes from DSW. I absolutely LOVE this shade of blue. LOVE IT!! It reminds me of the Tiffany's jewelry box color. I love it so much I am painting my kitchen cabinets this color with cream walls. I can't wait to see how it turns out.
Pardon the clutter in these photos. One side is sewing patterns and the other recipes that need to be tried/filed etc...
Anyway, after Mass the rain stopped and Miss Courtney was happy so we ventured out for the first time in about four days. I changed into a different top/sweater combo and headed over to a friends who was celebrating a graduation. It was a lovely afternoon and Miss C only sneezed a time or two.
Daddy dressed her in shades of blue today. The skinny jeans come from the Gap, the fab shoes from Stride Rite, the sweater set is Charter Club from Macy's last year.
All in all it was a very good day for the Lenaburg's. We are 48 hours into a seizure free zone for Miss Courtney. We shall enjoy every moment while it lasts.
Happy Summer Y'all!! Happy Sunday!!

Thank you Rosie. We have collected the ICONS over the last several years. My husband and I always give one to each other at Christmas.

ReplyDeleteAnd you ladies both look beautiful (the mother/daughter pic is so sweet).
Blessings Laura. Thanks for your compliments!
DeleteFirst things first, I love your first outfit and Courtney's shoes. Your kitchen is going to look awesome....and....you call that clutter?
ReplyDeleteThese are the two smallest piles of clutter I have in the house. LOL! I picked my picture spot carefully.
DeleteI second what Rosie said! I noticed no clutter, but am swooning over that gallery of icons! You and Courtney looked so pretty in blue!!

ReplyDeleteMary, you have such flair - I love to see your outfits, and Miss Courtney's as well. And I was SO excited to see the wall of icons in the background; when you can't think of anything else to post about, maybe you could take us on a tour of your icon wall sometime.
ReplyDeleteAnna you are so sweet. I like your idea. I will have to write that post sometime. Thanks for the idea.
DeleteA great pic of Miss Courtney! Aren't summer colds the worst? At least in the winter you can snuggle up inside and feel a little cozy. It's awful to feel "cooped up", though.
ReplyDeleteYes...summer colds are THE worst! It turned into an ear/sinus infection. Blech!
DeleteLove the mint! Thanks so much for always joining my Sunday Style Link Up...can't wait to see what you two share today :)
ReplyDeleteJenny it's always so much fun to participate each week. Thanks so much for hosting.
